Lindolfo Delgado has withdrawn from his scheduled vacant IBF junior-welterweight title fight against Arthur Biyarslanov on the October 31 Canelo Alvarez–Christian Mbilli card in Riyadh.

Delgado and his team remained in the United States after travel arrangements were delayed. Trainer Robert Garcia also cited security concerns and the shortened adjustment period that would have followed a late arrival.

Biyarslanov had already reached Riyadh after travelling by an alternative route. At publication, organisers had not confirmed whether he would remain on the card or receive a replacement opponent.

Why it matters

The withdrawal removes a meaningful world-title bout between two unbeaten contenders and leaves the vacant IBF championship unresolved. It also adds to uncertainty surrounding the event’s undercard while the main event remains scheduled to proceed.

What is confirmed

The Delgado–Biyarslanov fight will not take place as scheduled. No replacement opponent, new date or relocated version of the title fight has been officially announced.
