Symbolic welterweight unification artwork featuring two championship belts and opposing boxing gloves

Haney–Paro Welterweight Unification Reportedly Agreed

Devin Haney and Liam Paro have reportedly agreed terms for a WBO–IBF welterweight unification in the United States before the end of 2026.

The matchup would bring together two of the division’s major championships and gives Haney a leading alternative after negotiations with Shakur Stevenson stalled. Paro would enter with the IBF title while Haney holds the WBO belt.

A reported agreement is not the same as a completed promotion. Contracts, the venue, the final date and Australian broadcast arrangements still require official confirmation, so the proposed 19 December date remains provisional.
