O’Shaquie Foster unifies three titles with dominant Navarrete victory
O’Shaquie Foster produced a commanding performance to defeat Emanuel Navarrete by unanimous decision and unify three major junior-lightweight titles.
Foster controlled the distance, repeatedly beat Navarrete to the target and punctuated the win with two knockdowns in the final round. The judges returned scores of 118–108, 118–108 and 115–111.
Why it matters
The victory moves Foster to 26–3 with 12 knockouts, while Navarrete falls to 40–3–1 with 33 knockouts. Foster now holds the WBC, WBO and IBF belts and has strengthened his claim as the division’s leading fighter.
